In this blog post, Joyce starts by showing her readers a beautiful photo of her lovely daughter Diandra on the occasion of Diandra's birthday. In the context of this joyful celebration, Joyce narrates what happened 20 years ago when she was in a crisis because of her pregnancy with Diandra. She was pregnant but she wanted to abort her baby because she felt it was inconvenient for her to be pregnant at that time. But God spoke to her through her best friend and paradoxically, through her abortion doctor. Joyce describes how her best friend was so angry with her for wanting an abortion but she still drove her to the abortion doctor. But the abortion doctor, upon learning that Joyce was 4 months pregnant already, actually counselled Joyce to keep her baby.

Does this story mean that it is ok to abort a baby before three months? No, not at all. But this story is a triumph of God's unfailing love, mercy and grace for a young confused woman (Joyce) who thought abortion would solve her inconvenient pregnancy. More than that, Joyce's story is a celebration of the life of Diandra, her lovely and precious daughter. Joyce kept Diandra after the turn of events at the abortion doctor, and today as she looks with pride at her daughter for blooming into who she is now. What's more, Joyce was able to ask forgiveness from Diandra for wanting to abort her when she was in Joyce's womb. Diandra extended her forgiveness to her mom, and because Diandra permitted her mom to share her "brush with abortion" story, first at her church as a testimony, then on the internet through her blog, we are all being touched by Joyce and Diandra's story.

Our Stand on the RH Bill

1. We do not want the RH Bill to be passed because it condones abortion. The RH bill has provisions for “management of post-abortion complications”. People who have committed the crime of abortion /killed their own children through abortion should be held accountable. Abortion is murder of the unborn child. The law itself , The Revised Penal Code of the Philippines, and their consciences judge them, not the health professionals. Abortion is a crime in the Philippines and it should always be. The RH bill propagandists say there is nothing about legalizing abortion in the RH bill but clearly, it condones abortion through requiring “management of post-abortion complications”. What about “care” for the aborted child who was not allowed to live? It would be too late to care for them now. Right now, hospitals already care for women who abort their children. Why put it into law when it is already being done?

2. We do not want the RH bill to be passed because it will institutionalize distribution of contraceptives through the government. As a congressman has said, there is already freedom of choice now. The RH bill will only be a conduit and springboard for government-backed purchases of contraceptives amounting to millions of US dollars.

3. We do not want the RH bill to be passed because certain contraceptives are abortifacient, or abortion-causing. They cause early abortion of an embryo or fetus. Since life begins at conception, then terminating an embryo by preventing it from implanting is killing an unborn child. Intrauterine devices prevent implantation of embryos. Some birth control pills and “emergency contraceptives” prevent implantation of formed embryos. We are against all forms of abortifacient contraceptives that cause early abortions of embryos by preventing implantation.

4. We do not want the RH bill to be passed because it will penalize anyone who will “knowingly withhold information or impede the dissemination thereof, and/or intentionally provide incorrect information regarding programs and services on reproductive health.” That is not democratic at all. Getting imprisoned for something one disagrees on. So much for “freedom of choice” and freedom of speech. We stand with the Catholics who are being maligned for rejecting the contents of the RH bill because it is against their Church doctrines.

5. We do not want the RH bill to be passed because it mandates reproductive health education in schools from Grade 5 up, which includes discussions on sexuality, sexual behaviour and sexual health. The content of such educational materials may be objectionable to Christian doctrine and against the teachings of the Bible on sexuality and morality, which is unacceptable to Christians and must not be allowed to be taught to our children.

Read this very very touching blog of Myah, a 23 year old single mom to Faith Hope, a baby born with anencephaly ( having no/little brain tissue). Myah documents the life of Faith Hope, whom doctors wanted aborted/killed in the womb because she had anencephaly. When Myah was pregnant her doctors were pressuring her to abort/kill Faith Hope. Myah writes in her blog, “For some reason I had to give the doctors my decision over and over again, which was frustrating. One doctor asked, 'Can I ask why you want to continue this pregnancy?' I guess some people are baffled by unconditional love.”

Baby Faith Hope was able to hear and see and eat, and show reflexes seen in infants, all which could not be explained by the doctors. Baby Faith Hope LIVED for 93 days.(she died May23 '09)

I was reading Exodus in my study bible (the NIV Study Bible) then I saw a sidebar among the footnotes on Moses. It says there:

Moses
Name suggests: "draw out" (Moses sounds like the Hebrew for draw out)
Birth data: Born under a death sentence, Moses was saved through God's grace and his own mother's courage (Exodus 2:1-10)

I believe this young generation is a Moses generation. The ones who were born in countries with legalized abortion were essentially born under a death decree. (Ex. Roe v. Wade in the USA)

But this young generation has been drawn out of the Nile (symbolizing death, because the Israelite baby boys were to be thrown into the Nile as part of Pharaoh's decree). They have been drawn out from death, because their courageous parents chose life for them.

The footnotes on Exodus2:10 in my study bible also reveal something interesting. It says:
" Moses. The name, of Egyptian origin means "is born".

This young generation is a "born" generation, the one Satan tried to annihilate through abortion. The generation that has not been annihilated by the "death decree" abortion laws of its nation, the survivors, the "drawn-out" generation, will be the instrument in God's hands to speak out against, siege for, war over, and overturn the death decrees.

Lord, raise up your Moses generation among the youth of the world to overturn the death decrees in their nations!

"Meet Lia. She’s a 12-year-old seventh grader that recently decided to make a courageous stand in her school by giving a persuasive speech on the topic of abortion. Even when her teachers strongly encouraged her to choose a different topic, she decided to stick with what she felt passionate about. An email from her mother describes what led Lia to make such a bold move.

It was really a family thing. I saw Lou [Engle] speak at a conference several years ago. I came back to my family with the Life Bands, and we all wore them, made our covenant, and prayed the prayer for abortion to end… We were invited to participate in a “Life Tape Siege”. Once my kids heard of this invitation, they all agreed: “We have to do that!” Since then, Lia’s passion for seeing abortion end has continued. Being impacted by Lou’s words regarding Horton [Hears a Who], she was excited to watch the movie when it was released (and the rest of the family were too!).

In the email, her mother goes on to describe the challenges and consequences Lia faced.

As part of her class requirements, she needed to prepare a speech; however, the classroom presentations were also meant to enable the teacher to select the best speeches to go on to a more serious competition. As I mentioned, several teachers discouraged her from picking the topic of abortion; she was told it was “too big”, “too mature” and “too controversial”. She was also told that if she went ahead with that topic, she would not be allowed to continue on in the speech competition. Initially, I tried helping her find other topics to speak on, but, in the end, she was adamant. She just felt she wanted to continue with the topic of abortion. So she forfeited her chance to compete in order to speak on something she was passionate about."

EXPLANATION:

In the alley of this abortion facility, God's angels retrieve precious living souls. They are joined by many other angels from all the alleys of the world.

Each angel is holding a precious baby, wrapped in yellow blankets. On earth the unborn babies were wrapped in plastic bags, but now they are wrapped in God's glory. On earth they were trash, but to Heaven, they are treasure.

EARTH'S SCENE

The women's clinic has a youthful girl leaving, with sadness on her face after giving up her baby...others are waiting inside.

The back door of the clinic opens to the alley, where a nurse is getting rid of the TRASH.

Across from the abortuary is a TOY STORE, full of life and joy and surprises. A green tree blooms in front,....there is also a tree in front of the abortuary...no leaves...no life.

HEAVEN'S SCENE

The angels, who have brought their treasures from the dumpsters of the earth, line up by the hundreds & hundreds. One by one, they present their treasure to Jesus. As Jesus takes each child, He blesses them and GIVES THEM A NAME. (The unborn have no name on earth.) Little toddlers play happily in Heaven's nursery of the unborn.

THE SKY

The rain storm which came to the earth depicts Heaven weeping... not only for the lost children, but for the mothers and fathers, who will later weep for their children...Heaven weeps for the judgment that surely must come to the earth.

JUDGMENT WITH MERCY

Perhaps you have given up your baby to abortion, and now you feel a heavy guilt or a sadness. Your baby is not part of earth's trash, but is part of Heaven's nursery. Jesus can forgive you, heal your heart and make you HIS CHILD also. Jesus doesn't only rescue unborn babies. He rescues all human souls that seek HIM. You may even think of yourself as earth's trash. Maybe the world treats you that way also.

But Jesus can make you Heaven's Treasure.

Right now when the population-control RH bill is being pushed in our country, we need a poster like this. Maybe we should write "mabuhay ang mga bata!" The RH bill endorser thinks there are too many Filipino kids, kids who are a burden to the nation and so their births should be controlled! Who are we to say there are too many Filipinos? If you are a living Pinoy given birth to by your mom, YOU are one of the "too many Filipinos"! Even the congressman who is pushing the bill is one of the "too many Filipinos"! Who are we to say that the next generation should be reduced?

Psalm 127:3 says "Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children are a reward from Him.".

Let the Esthers Arise, For Such A Time As This

The Book of Esther in the Bible tells of the story of Esther (a.k.a. Hadassah), a Jewish teenager, who was an orphan. It was her Uncle Mordecai who took care of her.

The search for a new queen of Persia led Esther to the king's palace where she became Queen of Persia.

One day an evil man named Haman wanted all the Jews killed because he hated Mordecai. So he tricked the king into signing a death decree for all the Jews by saying there were treacherous disobedient people who needed to be killed.

When the decree was released, Mordecai and all the Jews began mourning and wailing. Esther, in her confinement in the Palace, did not know about this until she sent a messenger to find out why Mordecai had been mourning.

Mordecai sent Esther a copy of Haman's death decree for the Jews. He also told her that Haman had promised to put big money in the royal treasury for the destruction of the Jews. He urged Esther to go into the king's presence to beg for mercy and plead with him for her people.

Now Esther knew that one cannot go into the King's presence uninvited, under penalty of death, unless the king extended his golden scepter. She had this told to Mordecai. She feared for her life, because it had been 30 days since the king called her.

Mordecai sent a straightforward message to Esther: ""Do not think that because you are in the king's house you alone of all the Jews will escape. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?"

Her Uncle Mordecai's words were enough for Esther to make her decision. She decided to go to the king, even though it was against the law. She had this told to Mordecai: "Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maids will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish."

So Esther, under penalty of death, approached the king of Persia. But he held out his scepter for her and her life was spared. Having a strategy in mind, she asked the king and Haman, the king's right-hand man to a banquet, which was followed by a second banquet.

At the second banquet, the king asked Esther what her request was. He even asked her if she would like to have half the kingdom, and he would give it. But Esther didn't ask for riches and land and jewels. She told the king, "If I have found favor with you, O king, and if it pleases your majesty, grant me my life-- this is my petition. And spare my people-- this is my request. For I and my people have been sold for destruction and slaughter and annihilation. If we had merely been sold as male and female slaves, I would have kept quiet, because no such distress would justify disturbing the king."

The king asked her, who would do such a thing? That is when Esther pointed out that the one who had decreed it was Haman.

The king got so angry. And so Haman's fate was decided.

But Esther did not stop there. The death decree for the Jews had been issued and was still set to be carried out.

Esther risked her life once again and approached the king once more, under penalty of death. This time she pleaded with the king, falling at his feet and weeping. She begged him to put an end to the death decree of Haman. She said, "If it pleases the king, and if he regards me with favor and thinks it the right thing to do, and if he is pleased with me, let an order be written overruling the dispatches that Haman son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, devised and wrote to destroy the Jews in all the king's provinces. For how can I bear to see disaster fall on my people? How can I bear to see the destruction of my family?"

What did the king do? He told Esther to write a new decree in the king's name in behalf of the Jews.

So here we have an ORPHAN, risking her life twice to approach a king, writing a decree to overrule a death decree because she could not bear to see the annihilation and destruction of her people.

Right now in our country we have a death decree on future generations being tackled in Congress. It is called the Reproductive Health and Population Development Bill. Foreign finance institutions have promised to put big money in the Philippine treasury if the Bill becomes law.

Let the Esthers arise in this generation, who will not care if they will not have half the Kingdom, who will pray and fast and risk their lives for the Lord, for the unborn generation whom the Lord loves, for their children and for future generations. Let the Esthers speak up, write and issue decrees to overturn the death decrees on their generation.

HOLLYWOOD, June 18, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Selena Gomez, the fifteen-year-old up-and-coming Hollywood star who is being hailed as "the next Miley Cyrus" - the wildly popular star of the Disney Channel show Hannah Montana - has made public her intention to remain chaste until marriage.

Gomez started in the entertainment industry at the young age of 10, landing the part of Gianna on Barney & Friends. Amongst numerous other achievements, Gomez recently provided the voice-overs for the character of the mayor's daughter in the blockbuster animated film, Horton Hears a Who, starring Jim Carrey and Steve Carell. Gomez also recently debuted her own feature Disney Channel show, The Wizards of Waverley Place, in which she plays the lead role.

It seems, however, that Gomez may not appreciate the frequent comparisons being made between her and fellow Disney star Miley Cyrus, who has made the news several times in the last number of months after suggestive photos of her appeared in Vanity Fair magazine and a number of other racy photos surfaced on the internet.

Gomez recently told Extra about her plans to live chastely until marriage.

"I said, 'Dad, I want a promise ring,'" Gomez told Extra. "He went to the church and got it blessed. He actually used me as an example for other kids."

"I'm going to keep my promise, for myself, for my family, and for God," she said.

In a previous interview with Extra, Gomez was asked by the interviewer if her mother had allowed her to start dating. Gomez confirmed that she was allowed to go on dates, and had gone on a few, though she said she is subject to a curfew. When asked if she had a steady boyfriend Gomez laughed and shook her head: "I'm fifteen. I don't need a boyfriend."

In donning the purity ring, Gomez joins an increasing number of youth-stars who are reacting against the pervasive promiscuity of the entertainment industry and embracing pre-marital chastity. Others who have made public their intentions to remain chaste until marriage include Jordin Sparks, the American Idol winner, and the members of the pop group, the Jonas brothers.

However, in an interview on the issue with momlogic.com, Gomez denied that she was simply jumping on the bandwagon. "I've had my ring ever since I was 12 years old," she said. "But for me it's not something I want to go around saying 'Hey, look what I have.' It's a promise that I made to myself and to God. I think sometimes people misinterpret that and think it's just a trend and everyone's getting one."

I disagree with people who say that there is a "teen pregnancy epidemic". Since when did having a baby become a disease? Teen immorality and promiscuity are the problems. Sexually transmitted diseases resulting from sexual promiscuity are epidemics. Pregnancy and children are a blessing.

I am convinced that the term "teen pregnancy epidemic" was coined by pro-abortion, pro-death advocates, in order to make abortion, which is the killing of an unborn baby, the "solution" to the so-called "epidemic".

It was late, and I tried to hurry through the snow that January evening. Halfway through a tunnel-like underpass one block from home, a man jumped from the darkness and threw me to the ground.

"Don’t make a noise or I’ll kill you." I lay terrified as he ripped off my clothes and raped me. As a slim sixteen-year-old, I was no match for him. He threatened to come after me if I told anyone, so I lay motionless in a cloud of pain and nausea as he disappeared into the night.

Our house was empty, and I rushed to cleanse myself of the horrible dirty feeling that clung to me. I threw away my torn clothes, immersed myself in a hot tub, and scrubbed till my skin ached. By the time Mom got home from work, I was huddled silently in bed. I didn’t dare tell anyone what happened.

The next morning I tried again to wash away the dirty feeling, but nothing worked. I lost my appetite, was haunted by nightmares, and couldn’t concentrate in school. I kept looking over my shoulder, certain he was coming back for me. Somehow I thought God must not care about me. Maybe He was even punishing me.

The thought of pregnancy hadn’t occurred to me at first, so for four months I denied the possibility. I insisted to myself that my queasiness was just a touch of the flu, and my missed periods were due to shock.

But a doctor’s exam finally erased all doubt. I cried all the way home from his office.

Though I could no longer hide that I was pregnant, I still didn’t tell anyone about the rape. Mom had been abandoned by my dad before I was born, and she worked hard to support us. She had no idea what I was really going through, and her words couldn’t comfort my hurts and fears. We’d never been very close, and I felt increasingly alone.

Surprisingly, the nightmares diminished as I felt the baby move. This new life brought the first glimmer of healing from the rape. As the months passed, I started to think this child would fill the void that had ached inside me for so long. I eagerly waited for the day when I’d hold my baby in my arms.

After 36 hours of labor; Robin Lynn was born. She was perfect and beautiful, and nothing could dim the love I felt for her! Mom and I worked opposite shifts at a factory; and we shared the responsibility for Robin. But I wasn’t prepared for how difficult it was - the frequent feedings, the mountain of diapers, and her wakefulness at night when I was exhausted from a long day of work.

The next year, my mother was hospitalized for a nervous breakdown. Since I couldn’t care for Robin alone, she was placed in a foster home. I was allowed to visit on weekends, but the home was so far away, I couldn’t go very often. Every time I did see her, she had changed so much it frightened me. I was afraid she’d be taken from me forever, so I stole her away myself.

I was too young to understand the emotional trauma Robin was going through, but a social agency helped me understand how hard it all was on her. I soon realized that the best thing I could do for Robin was to give her up. The thought tore my heart in two, but I knew nothing else would be fair for her.

My uncle knew a couple who’d tried for years to have children. If I could give them the joy of a daughter, and at the same time give Robin a stable family, I’d be selfish not to.

Robin was 18 months old, and I met her new parents on Mother’s Day. We gathered her belongings, and with tears streaming down my face, I kissed her good-bye. I knew I’d never see her again unless she came to find me.

That was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I cried so hard and so long, and almost regretted my decision. But for her sake I knew I’d done the right thing. I loved her enough to give her up, and I’ve had peace in my heart about it all these years.

In 1979, my life had a fresh beginning through the transforming power of love, I learned that God wasn’t to blame for man’s wrongful acts, and that He had loved me all along despite the horr6rthatbefell me. Only then was I released from the hatred for the rapist that bound my soul. When I finally understood that Christ died for him too, and loves him just as much as He loves me, I was able to forgive and even pray wholeheartedly for the man who attacked me.

The years of separation never dimmed my love for Robin, and hardly a day went by that I didn’t long to hold her again in my arms. Once I found the love of Christ, I prayed with all my heart for Robin to somehow find Him, too.

Last spring, Robin and I saw each other for the first time in 26 years. I can’t tell you the tremendous joy and excitement that was in my heart. We were all smiles, and couldn’t stop looking at each other. Now we’re working on building a relationship at a pace we both can handle. In all honesty, it’s been difficult for her to learn about her real father - but that doesn’t mean she wishes she’d never been born! It’s interesting that the first thing Robin said when we met was "Boy, am I glad you didn’t get an abortion!"

I thank God abortion wasn’t legal years ago. As hard as it was to give Robin up for adoption, I’m at peace knowing I chose what was best for her - not necessarily what was easiest for me. I can live with the fact that I’ve been raped, but I couldn’t live in peace if I had killed my child.

I don’t agree with those who advocate abortion for rape or incest. One violent, cruel act doesn’t justify another. Our laws don’t condemn rapists to death, so it’s insane that we’d issue a death sentence for an innocent baby.

Robin is no different and no less valuable than any other human being. In fact, I’ve often imagined Robin and my other daughter (born through marriage) standing together before a gathering of all the pro-abortion people. I would ask the crowd to decide which one should live:

How to Put Up A Pro-life Club

Generations for Life is a pro-life website for teens and youth in the US.

They have a Generations for Life curriculum which they are selling, but they have posted the first three chapters online on their website as PDF files.

The first chapter is "Why A Pro-life Club?". Since the manual is for American youth, it basically states that through a pro-life club a young person can influence his classmates with the culture of life, since abortion is legal in the USA due to the "culture of death". Abortion is illegal in the Philippines, but Hollywood exports its immorality and culture of death to the Philippines, so the threat of the infiltration of the pro-abortion culture of death is very real for us. Filipinos must continually reject abortion. One way to keep the culture of life dominant in our young people is through a pro-life club.You can download the PDF file of "Why A Pro-Life Club" here . You will need Adobe Reader software, which can be downloaded for free.
The second chapter is "Starting A Pro-life Club". This is very helpful regardless what country you may come from.
The third chapter is "Life Topics". Again, this is tailored for the American situation, but nevertheless abortion is not an "American issue" but an issue of life and death and the shedding of innocent blood. Many of the topics can be used in the Philippines as well.

I hope these will help our Filipino youth put up their own pro-life clubs.

Mayroon akong naka-email na isang batang babaeng buntis ilan buwan nang nakaraan. Ang pangalan niya sa email ay "JI". Si JI ay nagtatrabaho, nang siya ay mabuntis ng kanyang boyfriend. Dito kami nag-umpisang mag-email sa isa't-isa. AKing pinayuhan si JI na ang pagpapalaglag ay hindi solusyon sa problema at pinalakas ko ang loob niya sa pagbahagi sa kanya ng mga Salita ng Diyos na hindi siya pababayaan ng Diyos at ang Panginoon ay may plano para sa kanya at sa kanyang anak.Binigyan ng Diyos na katatagan ng loob si JI at siya ay nagpasya na hindi niya ipapalaglag ang kanyang anak.

Sa kalaunan ay napilitan na si JI na tumigil sa pagtrabaho. Subalit siya ay nakikitira sa kanyang kapatid. Minsan ay nagkaproblema sila ng kapatid niya ngunit binigyan muli ng lakas ng loob si JI ng Diyos at napagtagumpayan niya ang kanyang problema.

Mga dalawang linggong nakaraan na ay nanganak na si JI ng isang malusog na batang lalaki sa isang ospital sa Metro Manila. SInabi niya sa akin na may problema siya sa pambayad sa ospital at sa mga doktor. Wika ko sa kanya, hindi ka dadalhin ng Diyos na ganito kalayo para ikaw ay iwanan. Ang Diyos ay tapat at maaasahan.

Hindi ko nabigyan ng materyal na tulong si JI, ngunit nakita ko ang pagtulong ng tapat at maawaing Diyos sa kanya. Sinagot ng PCSO ang kanyang bayarin sa hospital at ang mga doktor ay pumayag sa promisory note galing kay JI. Talagang hinding-hindi siya pinabayaan ng Diyos.

Sana ay maging inspirasyon si JI sa lahat ng mga babaeng nababagabag sa kanilang pagbubuntis! At sana ay nalaman ninyo sa totoong istoryang ito na ang Diyos ay tapat at tunay na nagmamahal sa atin!

Si NR ay isang babaeng 21 taong gulang. Nagtapos na siya bilang nars sa isang kolehiyo sa Zamboanga. Si NR ay nagmula sa isang broken family. Ang kanyang nanay at tatay ay hiwalay na. Si NR ay panganay na anak. Mga ilang taong nakaraan ay may nalaman siyang lihim tungkol sa kanyang nakaraan.

Minsa'y nagaaway ang kanyang magulang at nagsisigawan, nang sumbatan ng kanyang nanay ang kanyang tatay, na hindi sana sila magpapakasal kung hindi siya nabuntis. At sa pagkakataong ito isinumbat din ng nanay niya na sinubukan na niyang ipalaglag si NR sa pamamagitan ng pag-inom ng pampapalaglag na gamot, at ng paglagay ng pampalaglag sa kanyang genital area, ngunit si NR ay kumapit at siya'y naipanganak niya din.

Narinig ni NR ang lahat ng usapin ng kanyang mga magulang. Bagamat napakasakit malaman ang kanyang narinig, at nalaman pa niya ito nang siya ay may kaisipan at pagiintindi na, nais magpatotoo si NR na nakayanan niya ang lahat ng ito dahil sa kanyang personal na relasyon sa Panginoong Jesus. Walang pagmumuhi or paghihinagpis ang nararamdaman ni NR ngayon. Dahil sa pagmamahal ng Panginoon ay bumubukal dina ng pagmamahal sa puso ni NR. Dahil sa kapatawaran ni Jesus nakakapagpatawad si NR.

Nawa'y inyo ding makilala ang Panginoong Jesus bilang inyong Panginoon at Tagapagligtas. Nawa'y maging inspirasyon sa inyo ang istoryang ito tungkol kay NR. Binigyan niya ako ng pahintulot na ilagay ang kanyang patotoo sa blog na ito upang malaman ng lahat na ang kalayaan mula sa galit at sa unforgiveness o di pagpapatawad ay posible dahil sa pagmamahal at pagpapatawad na galing sa Diyos. At isipin din sana natin na kung nalaglag nga si NR noon ay wala sana siya sa mundong ibabaw ngayon. Ngunit may plano ang Diyos sa kanya. As a mother who had difficult pregnancies before giving birth to my two kids, I oppose abortion.

As a follower of the Lord Jesus, I oppose abortion.

Abortion is never a solution because it is murder, cold-blooded murder of the unborn child. It is bloodshed in the eyes of God, because we are made in the image of God, and we are God's creation from the moment of conception.

Many pro-abortion advocates who are active especially in the Western media portray abortion as a "human right", as a humanistic action that will save women from dying. But this viewpoint has no regard at all for the life of the unborn baby! We must never forget that abortion is 100% fatal to babies! Killing babies should never ever be a human right! No one has the right to extinguish another life. Women in crisis pregnancies need help, but abortion can never be a form of help nor care because it KILLS a baby. As Randy Alcorn says, "Compassion for the mother is extremely important, but is never served through destroying the innocent."

Dear Jennylyn,

The news about your pregnancy was featured on primetime news programs on TV and on radio programs. It must have been very difficult for you when you found out you were pregnant. You had your career ahead of you. You had many projects and guestings lined up already. Your family needed your financial support. You and Patrick were not yet married.

Yet when you found out you were pregnant, you and Patrick chose the difficult, unpopular choice: to keep your baby and not have an abortion. I admire you and your courage. You chose life instead of death. You chose your baby's life over this stage of your career. You chose to keep your baby against all odds, even choosing to suffer your family's disappointment and heartache instead of ending the life of your baby. I admire Patrick for standing by you and not forcing you to have an abortion. I admire your parents and your manager for honoring your decision. You know what, Jennylyn, your career is not yet over. It will just be put on hold for a few months. Then you can resume your career. I pray that GMA 7 management will treat you graciously and show you favor and grace in the face of what has happened to you, because you have honored your baby's life above yourself. May your baby be as beautiful as you.

You know that you have sinned against God because you had sexual relations outside of marriage. The Lord meant for sexual relations to be within marriage, that's His design for mankind. Yet now, you are pregnant as a result of what you did. You should confess to God your sin that you may receive His forgiveness. But pregnancy is not a sin. Your baby is a blessing, even if he or she was conceived outside of marriage.

I pray God will give you wisdom about what you will do in the next few months. I pray He will give your doctor wisdom on how to take care of you. I pray He will keep you and your baby healthy and strong. I pray He will provide your needs. Take care.

Looking forward to my life,

toys, teddy bears, snails,

and long fairy tales.

Were You Ever an Unborn Child?

It doesn’t seem to make sense to say you once were a sperm or an egg. Does it make sense, though, to talk about yourself before you were born? Did you turn in your mother’s womb or kick when you were startled by a loud noise? Did you suck your thumb? Were those your experiences or someone else’s?

If you were once the unborn child your mother carried, then you have to accept an undeniable truth: killing that child through abortion would have killed you. Not a potential you. Not a possible you. Not a future you. Abortion would have killed you.

This is why abortion is tragic. It kills more than a human body. It kills a valuable human being.

One band of red in a world full of black

One ray of hope in a night full of fear

One covenant in the midst of this death

One simple word that the darkness will hear

LIFE to the dying, LIFE to the dead

LIFE to the broken, LIFE written red

There is life in the blood

And there's pain in these cries

That are stifled and silenced

As every life dies
