Whether we’re students, office-slaves, brickies or teachers, we’ve one thing in common: we know that abortion is wrong. That’s why we work to protect mothers and babies from being killed and exploited by the abortion industry.
Youth Defence is Ireland’s most active pro-life group – which means our campaigns reach people on many levels; where they shop, on campus, on the web, in local areas and on the high street. We aim to provide real information about abortion, and to find new ways of getting that information to the public. We’re honest and open about what we do, which means we’re not afraid to challenge politicians or upset the consensus.
Most of all we believe that Ireland can be kept abortion-free. One person can make a difference and that person may be you.

"A Silent Siege is just this—we build up a wall and stand in the gap on behalf of our nation (Ezekiel 22:30). It is an incredible strategy given to us in a dream from the Lord. The media has taken hold of this image and spread it everywhere. It has become a phenomenon that catches the eyes and hearts of the world. When we make a stand outside of a courthouse or an abortion clinic, our stand is for life, justice and mercy.
When LIFE is written on a piece of red tape and placed on our mouths, we are identifying with the silent cries of the unborn and of those who have no voice.

This Silent Siege strategy is a strategy from the mind and heart of God. It is a spiritual weapon, mighty to pull down strongholds. We stand with Bound4Life and what they are doing in their nation. May Filipinos rise up to stand against the legalization and condoning of abortion in the Philippines, where abortion is still a crime. May it always remain a crime.

It was really a family thing. I saw Lou [Engle] speak at a conference several years ago. I came back to my family with the Life Bands, and we all wore them, made our covenant, and prayed the prayer for abortion to end… We were invited to participate in a “Life Tape Siege”. Once my kids heard of this invitation, they all agreed: “We have to do that!” Since then, Lia’s passion for seeing abortion end has continued. Being impacted by Lou’s words regarding Horton [Hears a Who], she was excited to watch the movie when it was released (and the rest of the family were too!).
In the email, her mother goes on to describe the challenges and consequences Lia faced.
As part of her class requirements, she needed to prepare a speech; however, the classroom presentations were also meant to enable the teacher to select the best speeches to go on to a more serious competition. As I mentioned, several teachers discouraged her from picking the topic of abortion; she was told it was “too big”, “too mature” and “too controversial”. She was also told that if she went ahead with that topic, she would not be allowed to continue on in the speech competition. Initially, I tried helping her find other topics to speak on, but, in the end, she was adamant. She just felt she wanted to continue with the topic of abortion. So she forfeited her chance to compete in order to speak on something she was passionate about."
Earth's Trash - Heaven's Treasure "Though Mother & Father forsake me, the Lord will take me up''

EXPLANATION:
In the alley of this abortion facility, God's angels retrieve precious living souls. They are joined by many other angels from all the alleys of the world.
Each angel is holding a precious baby, wrapped in yellow blankets. On earth the unborn babies were wrapped in plastic bags, but now they are wrapped in God's glory. On earth they were trash, but to Heaven, they are treasure.
EARTH'S SCENE
The women's clinic has a youthful girl leaving, with sadness on her face after giving up her baby...others are waiting inside.
The back door of the clinic opens to the alley, where a nurse is getting rid of the TRASH.
Across from the abortuary is a TOY STORE, full of life and joy and surprises. A green tree blooms in front,....there is also a tree in front of the abortuary...no leaves...no life.
HEAVEN'S SCENE
The angels, who have brought their treasures from the dumpsters of the earth, line up by the hundreds & hundreds. One by one, they present their treasure to Jesus. As Jesus takes each child, He blesses them and GIVES THEM A NAME. (The unborn have no name on earth.) Little toddlers play happily in Heaven's nursery of the unborn.
THE SKY
The rain storm which came to the earth depicts Heaven weeping... not only for the lost children, but for the mothers and fathers, who will later weep for their children...Heaven weeps for the judgment that surely must come to the earth.
JUDGMENT WITH MERCY
Perhaps you have given up your baby to abortion, and now you feel a heavy guilt or a sadness. Your baby is not part of earth's trash, but is part of Heaven's nursery. Jesus can forgive you, heal your heart and make you HIS CHILD also. Jesus doesn't only rescue unborn babies. He rescues all human souls that seek HIM. You may even think of yourself as earth's trash. Maybe the world treats you that way also.
But Jesus can make you Heaven's Treasure.
